Yoga4Life* with Valli

Mondays 930am to 1030am

A journey of yoga sets that progressively moves from the base of the spine to the crown of your head - eliminate tension and balance energy centers for optimum emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Gentle yoga practices that combine flowing graceful movements with static holds of yoga postures.  Breath practice, eye gaze, hand gestures, sung sounds of ancient mantras, and deep relaxation techniques are traditionally designed to quiet the mind, mitigate racing thoughts, and alleviate stress. 

By the end of the session, you can feel calmer in your MIND, openness and ease in your BODY and uplift your mood/SPIRIT.

This is YOGA for everybody!

Restorative Yoga with Valli

TIME:

Fridays 07:00 pm to 08:00 pm

LOCATION:

Clayton Aquatic Recreation Center, Cooke St, Clayton, 3168

Restorative yoga is known for its relaxing, calming, and healing effects. Studies have shown that consistent practice helps to gently stretch the body, promote deep relaxation, manage anxiety, assist in improving sleep and digestion, decrease tightness/tension, increase mobility, and reduce pain.  

Over this 55 minutes session,  you will experience longer holds of gentle yoga postures, combined with breathing and deep relaxation techniques - all draped with sounds from traditional Yoga Mantra. The intention is to encourage slowing down, practicing stillness, relaxing your muscles, and quietening your mind. Hence it is different than faster-paced yoga practices that may be intended to increase your heart rate, build strength and balance, and tone your muscles.   

Also suitable for beginners and people with limitations or recovering from injuries.
